Covered are materials, their characteristics and typical applications, including copper-based alloys SP™ for hydraulic pumps, automatic transmissions, steering assemblies, camshafts and engine crankshaft bearings; SY™ for gudgeon pin and rocker arm bearings; and SZ™, a lead-free alternative to SY. Aluminum-based materials include AI06™ for transmissions and hydraulic pumps; AI20™ for engine and compressor crankshaft bearings; AI40™ for engine cross head bearings; and AI50™ for transmissions, hydraulic pumps and engine bearings.
